Percussion Plus Junior World Slap Cajon

Introducing the Percussion Plus World Slap Junior Cajon

The Percussion Plus Slap Drumming World Junior Cajon is a compact and engaging box drum designed especially for younger players. Part of the popular Slap Drumming range, this junior cajon brings together child-friendly sizing, clear rhythmic response and a bright, inclusive world-themed sarong wrap that instantly captures attention in the classroom. Cajons are an ideal first percussion instrument, offering an intuitive way to explore rhythm, pulse and coordination using simple hand techniques.

Played while seated, they remove many of the physical and technical barriers associated with traditional drums, making them particularly well suited to early years, primary music lessons and SEND settings. The World Junior Cajon is designed to encourage positive musical activity, supporting children as they develop confidence, listening skills and a growing enthusiasm for music-making.

Its approachable sound and inviting appearance make it a natural choice for group work, rhythm games and creative classroom projects. Clear bass and slap sounds for early learning This junior cajon is fitted with a fixed snare system, giving a clear and consistent slap response that helps distinguish between bass and higher sounds. This contrast is invaluable when teaching basic rhythmic patterns, call-and-response activities and ensemble awareness.

Despite its smaller size, the cajon produces a satisfying bass tone alongside crisp slaps, allowing young players to experience a full, musical sound without needing advanced technique or excessive force. Designed specifically for children With its reduced dimensions and sturdy construction, the World Junior Cajon is comfortable and accessible for younger players.

The compact size makes it easy for young players to sit correctly and play with relaxed posture, supporting good technique from the outset. Rubber feet help keep the cajon stable on classroom floors, reducing movement during energetic sessions and ensuring a safer, more focused playing experience. A vibrant world design that inspires curiosity The colourful world-themed sarong wrap reflects the inclusive, multicultural ethos of the Slap Drumming range.

Inspired by the visual identity of the World Slap Djembes, the design introduces children to a sense of global music-making while adding excitement and visual appeal to lessons. Bright, engaging instruments like this junior cajon help spark curiosity and participation, making them especially effective in mixed-ability groups and whole-class activities. Size and construction The Percussion Plus Slap Drumming World Junior Cajon measures 24cm by 24cm with a height of 37cm.

It features a robust, child-friendly build with a fixed snare system, attractive sarong wrap and rubber feet for added stability, making it well suited to regular use in educational settings.
